Ukrainian baritone Stepan He studied at the Ivan Franko National University in Lviv. During his studies, he worked as a chorister and later as a soloist in various choral ensembles in Lviv. Since 2014, he has been a soloist with the Khmelnytskyi Regional Philharmonic in the western Ukrainian city of Khmelnytskyi. He has performed solo concerts at major European venues, including the Lucerne Culture and Convention Center, the Berlin Konzerthaus, and the Alte Oper Frankfurt, as well as in Oslo and Helsinki.
In 2017, he made his debut as Nabucco at the Lviv National Opera, where he returned in 2019 in the role of Telramund (Lohengrin). He performed his Nabucco creation at the Silesian Opera in Bytom, Poland, in 2020 and made his first appearance at the National Opera of Ukraine in Kyiv in 2021. In 2022, he made his debut at the Polish National Opera in Warsaw in the role of Amonasro (Aida).
He is a regular guest soloist at the Czech National Theatre in Prague, where he made his debut as Giorgio Germont (La traviata) in August 2023. He also appears frequently at the Lviv National Opera, the National Opera of Ukraine, and the Silesian Opera.
