Nathalie PeÑa-Comas
Latin Grammy-nominated Dominican soprano and actress Nathalie Peña-Comas studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MDW) and won, among other awards, first prize at the 3rd International Ebe Stignani Opera Competition and second prize at the 7th International Montecatini Opera Competition. Since 2018, she has been coached by Maestra Irina Gavrilovici.
Solo concerts and opera performances have taken her to Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the USA and she has sung in important concert halls including the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia (Rome), the Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore (Vatican), the Tchaikovsky Conservatory (Moscow), the Vienna Musikverein (Golden Hall) and the Vienna Konzerthaus (Mozart Hall, Schubert Hall) (Austria).
She has performed alongside Gregory Kunde, Morris Robinson, Tuomas Katajala, KS Ramón Vargas, Andrea Bocelli, and Stephen Costello, singing masterpieces such as Verdi's Messa da Requiem and Beethoven's 9th Symphony, as well as at opera galas and the Vienna Opera Ball in New York. Her previous operatic roles include Zerlina and Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Pamina (The Magic Flute), Musetta (La bohème), Contessa (Le nozze di Figaro), Violetta (La Traviata), and Micaëla (Carmen).
