Jan Labner was born in Vienna, where he spent several years of his childhood. He also began his dance training there at the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera.

In 2006, he and his family moved to Athens, where he continued his dance training at the Academy of the Greek National Opera in Athens, graduating in 2016. He participated in several productions as a freelancer and subsequently worked as a member of the ballet company at the Greek National Opera in Athens from 2016 to 2019. Although his training was classical, Jan has always enjoyed exploring contemporary dance and has also participated in such projects.

In 2020 he returned to Vienna, where he has since performed mainly as a dancer in classical concerts and continues to work as a freelancer.
