American Tenor, Samuel Robertson, from North Carolina, moved straight to Vienna after completing his Masters at the Eastman School of Music, Rochester, New York. After singing two seasons in the chorus at the Wiener Staatsoper, Samuel started his career as a freelance soloist on opera stages, concert halls and in churches throughout Europe. Some Highlights from the beginning of his young career include performances as Ernesto (“Don Pasquale”) at Opera Varna, Bulgaria, Tamino (“Die Zauberflöte”) and Eisenstein (“Die Fledermaus”) with the Lyric Opera Studio Weimar, Beppo/Arlecchino (“I Pagliacci”) at Sommeroper Kittsee, Nemorino (“L’elisir d’amore”) at Sommeroper St Andrä, Lehrbuben (“Die Meistersinger”) and Sheep in the world premier of Raskatov’s “Animal Farm,” at the Wiener Staatsoper.
